Found NOT GUILTY by Jefferson Co. Circuit Court; not returned to LMPD force; indicted by U.S. Department of Justice in August 2022.
After a Status Hearing with Judge Rebecca Jennings on May 17, Brett’s trial is now scheduled for October 2023, with 3 weeks allotted. The trial was rescheduled since the Defense must comb through 1.6 million documents (including videos) that have been produced by the DOJ as ‘discovery’ for this case. Watch for more information.

Covid Memorial Statue Unveiled
Kentucky officials unveiled a new memorial honoring those lost to COVID-19 at the Capitol Wednesday. The installation, called “United We Stand. Divided We Fall,” is an Amanda Mathews design and sculpture. Matthews is the CEO of Prometheus Art in Lexington. Lula calls for a move away from dollar
…Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has stated that developing nations should move away from the US dollar in favor of their own currencies in order to push back against American dominance over the global financial system.
Speaking in Shanghai on Thursday during an official visit to China, Lula said the BRICS group – comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – should look for an alternative currency to the dollar for trade.
“Every night I ask myself why all countries have to base their trade on the dollar. Why can’t we do trade based on our own currencies?” he said. “Who was it that decided that the dollar was the currency after the disappearance of the gold standard?”
