Jaynes & Meany case moved to Spring 2026
The USA case against former officers Joshua Jaynes and Kyle Meany in Judge Charles Simpson’s court, has been delayed. Why? His Order filed on October 28 following a status conference states:
Defendants and the Government agreed that the parties are engaged in meaningful discussions as to a potential resolution of the remaining charges in this action; that conditions which warranted the previous declaration of this case as complex remain on-going; and that there are many complicated aspects of this case that still require a significant amount of counsel’s attention. More particularly, the Court was advised that there are over one million pages of discovery materials. Given these circumstances, all parties agreed that this matter should be set for a status conference in the Spring of 2026.

Why is the Federal government blamed in local media when KY is the problem?
Courier-Journal | 10-23-25: ...Upheaval at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has plunged Kentucky's public health infrastructure into a state of confusion and uncertainty, officials said, and some local departments are beginning to question the credibility of the agency's guidance.
Amid cuts to federal programs and mass layoffs at federal agencies, Kentucky's local health departments have lost millions of dollars in funding for immunization and outreach programs, according to Dr. Steven Stack, who leads Kentucky's Cabinet for Health and Family Services. In a statement, he described "gaping holes in public health systems not only in our state, but across the country."

Losing your home while helping charity make big money
A Jefferson Circuit Court judge issued a restraining order Nov. 25 that blocks the Kentucky Horse Racing and Gaming Corporation’s order for charitable gaming organizations to disable machines made by two major manufacturers, according to court documents.
The restraining order comes after three organizations — Shirley’s Way, Southwest Center for the Developmentally Disabled and Education Justice — filed a lawsuit against the order, claiming it is “an existential threat” to their charitable gaming and their “ability to carry out their charitable missions.” Read more

CELL TOWER WARNING
If this bill passes, every community in America is at risk of:
- More antennas and equipment added to cell towers near homes, schools, and parks
- No meaningful environmental oversight
- No historic-preservation review for sensitive or culturally important sites
- Little to no notice before major tower upgrades
- Federal decisions overriding local concerns and community priorities
ACT NOW to tell Congress to Vote NO on H.R. 2289 — and stop this nationwide federal takeover of local cell tower decisions.
