On Sunday, September 24th, Right to Life of Louisville hosted its second annual LifeFest, with bouncie castles, classic rock by a live band, ice cream, cotton candy, and a petting zoo. The Annual Walk for Life was part of the afternoon fun.
Roe v. Wade, the controlling Decision of the U.S. Supreme Court, was overturned on June 24, 2022. In anticipation of that milestone, RTL Louisville had planned and— by amazing coincidence— held a LifeFest on June 25, 2022, with a band, food and children's attractions. Though there was not a large crowd, the group received much favorable publicity, so they determined to establish a new tradition.
This is a critical time to stand up and speak out for the dignity of those without a voice. The Dobbs decision did not eliminate abortion but sent it underground. Kentucky women with unplanned pregnancies who seek abortions are traveling to other states for the procedures, or being assisted with chemical abortions in an illegal way.
