Learn how to advise Brett Guthrie about AI Legislation

Rep. Guthrie is on board with the 10-year moratorium on state regulation of AI. His Energy and Commerce committee approved it. Sen. Rand Paul is against it. Rand is opposed to federal agencies overstepping their bounds.

Meanwhile, data centers are being approved by Louisville's planning and zoning arm without scrutiny. What will the fallout be for property values of nearby residents? OK, it's not a nuke, but what would you call it? Is the planned data center in south Louisville for AI or is it a traditional data center? What is the difference?

Is a Data center a desirable neighbor? How might it affect your nearby business? Your electric bill? The prospect for energy rationing? Employment? A recent article in the Lane Report spells out many specifics such as tax exemptions for new data centers, passed by the Kentucky state legislature in 2024.

The article, Construction: Billions for Bytes, was written by Dawn Yankeelov, founder, executive director and CEO of the Technology Association of Louisville KY (TALK). TALK stages informal seminars and major conferences to educate about the many facets of technology affecting our businesses and lives.

cybersecurity

The TALK annual cybersecurity conference held at Sullivan University in June, featured speakers who explained how to protect organizations from cyberattacks and much more. The TALK Annual Techfest will be held August 21-22 in Louisville. Learn. You will soon be able to advise Brett Guthrie on his AI legislation.
